Virtual Stained Glass
Digital windows synced with the sun

The Collection
Virtual Stained Glass is a series of 24-hour-long videos that loop inside physical displays. Like a stained glass window, their appearance changes throughout the day. When turned on at 12:00pm, they auto-sync to match sunrise and sunset; a technical first.
The collection explores realms beyond the artform’s traditional state, and aims to provide a sense of groundedness by aligning with spiritual connection and self-actualization. To respect the history and authenticity of the artform, every shape is hand-drawn and carefully cut using textures from real glass. Each frame is a single, 1/1 edition.
Software used: Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro
Physical display: Infinite Objects lucite acrylic frame with 10” LCD screen

The Aśwattha Tree is a sacred symbol in Hindu and Buddhist scriptures, derived from Shva (tomorrow) and Stha (that which remains). “Those who know this tree, know the Prana” - the life force to manifest the unmanifested into the created world.
Standing inverted, its roots are in the metaphysical skies, from which the universe draws its nourishment. Wisdom and creative energy are dispensed downward to earth through branches, strengthened by knowledge. And the flowering fruits are the result of the leaves’ actions.
The Art
Every morning, the flowers bloom—a reminder of your electric potential to materialize thoughts and imagination into reality.

The origin of the Yin-Yang is found in the ancient Chinese timekeeping system, fundamentally connected with the earth’s cycle around the sun. Yin and Yang are complementary forces that make up all aspects of life.
To maintain balance between life forces, Chinese practitioners divide the day into Yin times and Yang times– each one best for certain activities.
The Art
The Yin-Yang rotates once every 24 hours, symbolizing your biological clock. In the evening, the black Yin serves as a reminder to wind down for a restful night’s sleep. Every morning, the white Yang takes its place, nudging you to get the morning sunlight and exercise your body needs.

The ancient Egyptian sun god, Ra, traveled the sky by day. Ra’s burden was to battle the serpent Apophis every single night for eternity. When the sun set, Ra descended into the underworld where Apophis tried to destroy him and deliver chaos and evil.
Horus, the god of protection, saved Ra by using his powers from the moon to kill the serpent. Together, Ra and Horus are visualized as symbols commonly known as the Eyes of Horus.
The Art
Every night, the Egyptian god of protection defeats the evil serpent and shields you from chaos. Every morning, the sun god shines bright again as peace is restored.
